As cliché as it sounds, it is crazy how fast life changes. Seasons begin to feel like minutes as I sit here thinking about how absolutely insane this last year has been. Today is my 22nd birthday, and even though I often feel (and act) like an 80-year-old grandmother, I know that I still have eons of life running through my veins.
This year I have been pushed, stretched, challenged, and inspired more than ever before in almost every aspect of my life. Looking back, I could not be more glad that it all happened.
I often catch myself saying, “oh, that would be easy” when referring to a variety of possible challenges. I am trying to change that. I want to seek things out that require a struggle or that seem “hard” to do. Things that are not easy are still worth doing, and usually reap more fruitful results.
This year, I am thankful for struggle.
So many sweet memories have been made, and creatively, I feel like I have soared leaps and bounds because of the pressure I have had to press through. Here are a few favorite snapshots of both familiar and new photos I have taken this year:
If this is what 21 looked like, I can’t wait to see what 22 has in store.
I am just getting started, so hang with me as I try my hardest to make 22 a year of failures, successes, and lots and lots of memories.
With love always,
Andrea
